
Having finalized your guest list, it's time to order the invitations. There are as many styles as there are brides from the engraved invitations to a less expensive alternate created through the process of thermography. Your printer will be glad to show you samples and prices.
Traditionally the brides parents issue the invitations but with so many different family situations today the field of choices is completely open. To aid with some of the variables we have chosen some sample wordings for a variety of possibilities.

Invitations issued by divorced parents who have not remarried:

If you are inviting all the guests to the reception then a notation similar to this one should appear on the invitation:

If only some guests are invited to the reception then a separate reception card should be added to those invitations only.
There are two ways to accept responses of acceptance from the guests.
If you have not heard from the guest by a week before the wedding, it is proper to call and ask if he or she is planning to come.
