The Golden Girls

Abby and Christie, two golden retriever sisters had always shared the same household. They reallly needed to stay together but they were almost five years old and would be considered middle aged. People are often willing to adopt two small together but it is much more difficult when the dogs are large and no where near puppies.

This didn't seem to bother the girls though. They spent all their time together, playing, nuzzling each other and sleeping together. Clearly they were not worried and seemed to know something no one else knew. It finally began to appear hopeless because the answer always seemed the same. "The dogs are just too big and too old to take both but if you decide to seperate them, let us know."

Then a miracle happened. A man called and asked if we had a golden retriever who needed a home. He and his wife had recently lost their 14 year old golden and they were heart broken. Excitedly, the councelor told him about Abby and Christie. He didn't seem sure about adopting both but finally the couple agreed to come and meet them. One lookat Abby and Christie huddled togetheer in their outdoor run convinced the couple that the dogs' bond was unbreakable. The two sisters went to their new home that afternoon.

Abbie and Christie will continue their life together with their wonderful new Parents. These two devoted canine sisters will never be apart.
